张元新，院长，理学博士，教授，硕士生导师，生物学科校级学术带头人，第二批“吉林省高校科研春苗人才”，吉林省高等学校本科教学指导委员会生物类专业教学指导委员会委员。2012年12月毕业于吉林大学分子酶学工程教育部重点实验室，获细胞生物学专业博士学位。2013年4月进入中科院长春应用所从事博士后研究工作。2016年7月-10月在悉尼科技大学进行访学研究。2018年10月-2019年10在美国希望之城（City of hope）生物医学研究中心进行访问研究。主要从事新型、智能递药系统的创新研究，主持完成省发改委项目1项、省教育厅项目1项、市科技局项目1项，在研1项省科技厅重点医药研发专项、1项省留学人员科技创新创业项目。近年来，在ACS Nano、ACS Applied Materials & Interface等国际期刊发表论文10篇，其中，发表在ACS Nano上的论文被评为该领域的高被引论文。
